Lifang and Loeb & Loeb co-sponsor Sino-US Seminar on the Latest Development in IPR

On June 24, 2013, the Sino-US seminar on the latest development in IPR was convened at China Intellectual Property Training Center. The event was organized by China Intellectual Property Training Center, John Marshall Law School and Peking University School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and sponsored by Lifang & Partners and Loeb & Loeb.

The seminar focused on the recent developments of legislation and precedents in the four fields of patent, trademark, copyright and entertainment law and competition laws in China and the U.S. Speakers and commentators include senior IP judges from the Supreme People’s Court, Beijing High People’s Court, Beijing No.2 Intermediate People’s Court and Haidian District People’s Court, professors from John Marshall Law School, Tsinghua University Law School and Peking University law school, as well as seasoned lawyers of Lifang and Loeb & Loeb. Their insightful presentation attracted more than 150 audience including law school students and faculties from the U.S and China, local based Chinese and international IP practitioners and representatives from industries.

As representatives of Lifang, Mr. Sun Xi, Mr. Cai Peng and Ms. Zhang Bin made keynote speech relating to patent, trademark and copyright laws respectively. Lifang managing partner, Mr. Xie Guanbin, was commentator of the competition law session and gave a speech in the closing ceremony.
