Case Prosecuted by Lifang Selected as Guangdong Model Cases

Guangdong Lawyers Association recently announced a list of Provincial Model Cases. Featured in the selected cases is Guangdong Weiya Optical Disc Co., Ltd.’s counterclaim against Tang Lei for malicious litigation, where Lifang partner, Mr. Deng Yao, successfully represented Weiya, which also received an Excellence Award.

Mr. Deng represented Weiya in its counterclaim against Lei Tang for its malicious litigation, and asked that Tang be made to pay transportation costs and attorney fees for the litigation, which the court supported. This is an important case in fighting malicious litigation. The case also earned Mr. Deng a “2007 Lawyer Achievement Award”.
