The 2nd annual China AI Intellectual Property Summit (“CAIIPS 2021”) was held in Hangzhou from August 17th to 19th. Jointly organized by YIP Events and IP ForeFront, the theme of the summit this year is "Quality enhancement and risk control - Promoting the value of AI IP rights".Lifang & Partners'partner, Xu Manxia, and senior lawyer, Wu Xuting, attended and participated in panel discussions.
Wu Xuting was invited to panel discussion of “Litigation Perspectives on the Dispute of SEP Global Licensing Rate” on the afternoon of August 17th. She shared her thoughts on "Jurisdiction over SEP Global Licensing Rate". The insightful views and original comments in her presentation impressed the audience very much.
Xu Manxia was invited to the panel discussion on “Practice of Trade Secret Protection for the AI Industry” on the afternoon of August 18th. She and other panel speakers presented a lively and constructive discussed the most salient issues faced by AI technology companies regarding trade secret protection, including evidence preservation, enforcement of rights and damages determination.
