Mr. Yang’s primary practice areas include cybersecurity and data compliance, securities and capital markets, and cross-border M&As. Since qualifying in 2004, Mr. Yang has worked in well-known law firms in the US and Hong Kong. He has accumulated rich experience in cybersecurity and data compliance, export control, overseas financing, and cross-border M&As.

Mr. Yang’s clients include multinational corporations, investment banks, private equity funds and other clients. Before practicing law, he worked in the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese Consulate General in New York.

Mr. Yang has recently led the following cybersecurity data compliance projects:

- Providing advice on assessing personal information impact in connection with a multinational semiconductor company’s cross-border transfer of personal information.

- Providing cybersecurity and data compliance advice to a leading high-tech company in the intelligent manufacturing industry.

- Providing personal information protection advice for a leading arbitration organization.

- Providing personal information protection advice for a foreign invested company industry association.

- Providing personal information protection advice for a leading social network platform.
